Montreal’s Metro Metro has announced its 2023 lineup, which includes Lil Wayne, Jack Harlow, and Lil Baby.

Festival Metro Metro in Montreal has unveiled its 2023 roster, which includes headliners Lil Wayne, Jack Harlow, and Lil Baby.

The festival will take place in the Parc Olympique Esplanade from May 19 to 21.

A number of rappers from the United States are joining the headliners, including Cordae, Coi Leray, Lil Tjay, Yeat, and The Kid Laroi.

Metro Metro will also include Nav, Killy, Murda Beatz, Sarahmée, Mikezup, and more Canadian musicians.

Though Canada is no stranger to festivals, there has been an uptick in hip-hop-focused events since 2019, with Rolling Loud coming in Toronto and Surrey, British Columbia’s Fvded in the Park festival still going strong.

Several performers, including Jack Harlow, Metro Boomin, Ski Mask the Slump God, and Bia, will perform at both Metro Metro and Fvded in the Park.

Metro Metro had a successful first year in 2019, however the pandemic forced the cancellation of its second edition, which would have included 50 Cent, Travis Scott, and Young Thug as headliners. When the festival was slated to return for the first time after the epidemic in 2022, it encountered various challenges.

Last year’s Metro Metro included a memorable moment when Drake unexpectedly appeared during Lil Baby’s set.
