On ‘Saturday Night Live,’ Lil Baby performs ‘Californian Breeze’ and ‘Forever.’
This week, Lil Baby performed ‘Californian Breeze’ and ‘Forever’ on Saturday Night Live, which you can see here.
Lil Baby made his second appearance on Saturday Night Live yesterday, after his presence on DJ Khaled’s performance of ‘You Stay’ in 2019.
Lil Baby took the stage yesterday night (January 28) and played two songs from his upcoming album ‘It’s Only Me’. ‘Californian Breeze’ and ‘Forever’ may be heard below:
‘It’s Only Me,’ a 23-track album published last October, includes collaborations with Young Thug, Future, and Pooh Shiesty.
“If the trimmings were removed from ‘It’s Only Me,’ it may equal his past albums – instead, it’s a few notches shy of brilliance,” NME noted in a three-star review.
Prior to the release of ‘It’s Only Me’, Lil Baby debuted new track ‘The World Is Yours To Take’ which extensively samples Tears For Fears’ 1985 smash ‘Everybody Wants To Rule The World’.
Untrapped: The Story Of Lil Baby, a new documentary on Lil Baby’s career, was also released on Amazon Prime Video last year. “The film succeeds in getting us closer to the rapper than we’ve ever been before, sketching out Baby’s path from inner-city poverty and teen years spent “hustling” on the streets to his ultimate rise to rap’s top tier and continued fight for social change,” stated NME in a four-star review.
The 2023 season of Saturday Night Live premiered last weekend, with Sam Smith and Kim Petras teaming up for their viral smash ‘Unholy,’ and Sharon Stone making a cameo during a performance of Smith’s ‘Gloria.’
Coldplay will perform on Saturday Night Live next week (February 4), which will be hosted by The Last Of Us star Pedro Pascal.
The band is set to play songs from their next album ‘Music Of The Spheres’ in 2021. Coldplay previously appeared on SNL in November 2019 when they performed ‘Everyday Life’ and ‘Orphans’ off their album of the same name.
