Rapper Medikal from Ghana has been permanently suspended following the implementation of new terms and conditions by Twitter’s new CEO, Elon Musk, for allegedly imitating Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The bird application made the suspension official on November 9, 2022. As a result, the artist’s page currently displays a blank account with the notice “Account Suspended” welcoming visitors.
Multiple social media users had accused the singer from “Stubborn Academy” of impersonation, and the new owner, Elon Musk, was forced to act right away by suspending the musician from his app.
Elon Musk tweeted a warning to users on November 6, 2022, stating that he would terminate any accounts that falsely claimed to be from other people.
Any Twitter accounts using impersonation in the future without explicitly stating “parody” will be permanently suspended.
Social media users’ comments to the image have included some sympathizing with the artist and others mocking him for acting “stupid.”
A person said, “Lmao you people, they say Medikal has been suspended by the new IGP of Twitter.”
“If you give Elon Musk a chance, he’ll exploit you as a scapegoat,” a different person remarked. You all need to liberate Beno because Medikal committed suicide and was joking.
Another person said, “Medikal was the first celebrity to be detained under Dampare, As Twitter too got a new IGP, en too take do Medikal, Obolo people ankasa dem dey pri.”
